What Is Connected AI?

Connected AI

Connected AI lets the AI app you already use (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor, VS Code and others) work with your Studio workspace. You ask in plain words, and your AI finds the answer in Studio or makes the change for you.

What you can do with it

  • Ask questions about your data: "How many people registered for the Fall Retreat?", "Which projects are due this week?", "Who has only a first name in People?"
  • Find things by name: "Open the Hope Gala event", "Show me project ELI-1003".
  • Make changes: "Move the Fall Retreat to Dec 6", "Assign me to ELI-1003", "Add a step called Baptism to the Next Steps pathway".
  • Draft things for you to review: emails, forms and website pages are made as private drafts.

How it keeps you safe

  • Your permissions, nothing more. Your AI sees and does only what your role allows, in one workspace.
  • A person approves the big things. Anything that sends, charges, publishes or messages people waits in Approvals until someone approves it in Studio.
  • It asks before removing anything. Deletes, removals and archives always show you exactly what would go and wait for your yes.
  • Money is view only. Your AI can read giving, invoices and campaign totals (if your role can), but it can never charge, refund, edit money or delete it.
  • Private data stays private. Children's details, form answers, giving history and similar data stay hidden until an admin turns them on.
  • Changes can be undone. Most changes your AI makes can be undone by asking it to undo.
