The /studioapp Skill: Teach Your AI How Studio Works

Connected AI

The /studioapp skill is a guide your AI app reads before it works in Studio. With it, your AI answers "how many" questions in one step, finds things by the names you use, asks before removing anything, keeps money view only, uses your workspace's own words (for example Supporters instead of People), and knows where every button in Studio is, so it can also tell you how to do something yourself.

Get it

Go to AI → Connected AI. In the Teach your AI Studio: the /studioapp skill card, click Download skill (a file called studioapp.zip), or Copy instructions for apps that take pasted instructions. The download is made for your workspace and always lists the newest tools.

Add it to your AI app

  • Claude: Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose studioapp.zip. Claude uses it whenever you ask about Studio.
  • Claude Code: unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ so you have ~/.claude/skills/studioapp. Type /studioapp to use it, or just ask about Studio.
  • ChatGPT, Gemini and others: click Copy instructions and paste them into a Project's instructions or a custom GPT's instructions.

What is inside

  • SKILL.md: how to work in Studio well, with a playbook for every module and the many words people use for things (CRM, supporters, donors, tithes, small groups, next steps and more).
  • MAP.md: where everything is in Studio and the buttons to add and edit things.
  • REFERENCE.md: every tool the Studio connector offers today.

The skill does not connect your AI by itself. Connect first: see Connecting Your AI App to Studio. When Studio adds new abilities, download the skill again to get the newest version.
