Submitting and tracking Work Orders

Facilities

A work order is a maintenance request — a leaky faucet, a busted projector, a setup task before an event. They live in one list so nothing slips through the cracks.

How to submit a work order

  1. Go to Facilities → Work orders.
  2. Click + Add work order.
  3. Fill in:
    • Title — short description ("Sanctuary mic feedback", "Replace light bulbs lobby").
    • Campus — which site.
    • Type — Repair / Maintenance / Setup / Cleanup / Inspection / Other.
    • Priority — Low / Medium / High / Urgent.
    • Due date — optional. Overdue work orders are flagged on the dashboard.
    • Description — what's wrong, where, anything the technician should know.
  4. Click Create work order.

Assigning to staff

Open a work order and assign it to a staff member. They get a notification. Once assigned, status moves from Open to In progress.

Attaching photos

On the detail page, upload up to a few photos per work order — before / after / detail shots. Useful for documenting damage, recording how something was wired, or showing the finished work.

Closing it out

When the work is done, the assignee clicks Mark done. What happens next depends on whether your workspace requires manager review (see the next article).
