Set a price on a booking type and payment is collected at the time of booking.
Before you start
Your workspace needs Stripe connected — the same connection donations and events use. Without it, a priced booking still comes through as a request and you follow up for payment yourself.
How it works for the visitor
- They pick a time and enter their details.
- They pay.
- The appointment is confirmed and the confirmation email goes out.
The time is held while they pay
From the moment the payment step opens, that slot is held and no one else is offered it. If the payment is never finished the hold expires after about twenty minutes and the time goes back on the calendar automatically.
Approval and payment together
If the booking type also requires your approval, paying does not skip it. The appointment is marked paid but stays pending until you approve it.
Refunds
Every booking payment shows in Transactions. Cancelling an appointment does not refund it automatically: open the payment in Transactions and choose Refund.
If a payment arrives late
If a visitor pays after their hold ran out and someone else has taken that time, the appointment stays canceled, the payment is kept in Transactions, and you are notified to refund it.
