Connecting a calendar does two things at once, from one approval screen.
- Studio reads your busy times, so anything already on your calendar is never offered to anyone.
- New appointments land on your calendar, so they sit alongside everything else in your day and reach your phone.
How to connect
Open the booking type, find your name under Hosts & hours, and click Connect Google Calendar or Connect Outlook. Approve the request on the provider's screen and you are done.
Each host connects their own calendar. Five people who take bookings means five separate connections.
Any account type works
Personal Gmail or Google Workspace. Personal Outlook.com or a work Microsoft 365 account.
If your workplace blocks it
Some organizations require an IT administrator to approve outside apps. If you see a message about needing approval, that is your own IT policy — ask them to approve Studio.
"Reconnect your calendar"
Connections break occasionally — a password change, or access being revoked. When that happens Studio stops offering times for that host entirely until it is reconnected.
That is deliberate. A calendar we cannot read is not the same as an empty one, and quietly offering a full week of times would book somebody over something important. Reconnect from the same place you connected.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on the connection. Studio stops reading your calendar and stops adding to it. Appointments already on your calendar stay there.
