About a minute.
From a file already on the project
Hover any attachment on the project — in the attachment grid, on a comment, or on a note — and a Review button appears in its corner. Click it. The file opens on the review canvas, ready to be marked up.
You do not need to re-upload anything. Most rounds of design arrive as a comment ("here is round two"), and that file can be reviewed exactly where it landed.
From the Design review card
Scroll to the Design review card on the project and use Send a file out for review…. The list is grouped by where each file lives, because "round-two.pdf" means nothing on its own when three rounds came in on three different comments.
Uploading something new
Attach it to the project first, then use the Review button on it. That way the file stays with the project rather than only inside the review.
Reviewing a web page
Paste an address into …or review a web page on the same card. Studio captures the page at desktop, tablet, and mobile widths and turns them into three reviewable pages of one review. See Review a live web page.
Nothing is announced until somebody comments
Opening a file to see what it is does not notify anyone and does not put it on the Design review card. It becomes a review — and people hear about it — the moment the first comment is written on it. Look at as many files as you like without emailing the whole project.
