Accepting or Declining a Scheduling Request

Scheduler

When you're scheduled, you can respond two ways — and both do the same thing.

From your Serving Schedule

  1. Open Serving Schedule (avatar menu, or the My Serving tile on the Launchpad).
  2. Find the pending service — it shows your role and time.
  3. Click Accept or Decline right on the row.
  4. Declining asks for a quick reason so your team leader knows why.

From the email

You'll also get an email when you're scheduled. Click Accept or Decline straight from it — no login required.

What happens after you respond?

  • Accepted: the row shows a green Confirmed pill.
  • Declined: it drops off your list and your team leader is notified with your reason.

Confirmed but something came up?

You can still back out — use Can't make it? on the row to decline. Better yet, if you know someone who could cover, use Suggest a sub from the row's "⋯" menu (see the "Suggesting a sub" article).
