Creating and sharing a rally

Rally

Open Rally in the sidebar and start a new one. The whole thing takes a few minutes.

What you'll fill in

  • Title — what people see first. Plain and specific beats clever: "Help the Ruiz family rebuild after the fire".
  • Category — medical, memorial, emergency, education, and so on. It helps people understand the situation at a glance.
  • Who it's for — if you're raising on someone else's behalf, name them and say how you know them. Supporters give far more readily when it's clear where the money goes.
  • Your story — what happened, what the money is for, and what it will change.
  • Photo and goal amount.

Sharing it

Open the rally and use Share. You get the link, a QR code, and buttons for the usual social apps. Most rallies are carried by people forwarding the link to their own circles, so share it somewhere personal early rather than waiting for it to look finished.

While it's running

The rally page has three tabs. Overview is the summary, Donations lists every gift as it comes in, and Money shows the running arithmetic — raised, fees, and your net.

You can edit the story, photo, and goal at any point. Raising the goal after you hit it is normal and keeps momentum going.

Ending it

Click End rally when you're done collecting. That closes the page to new gifts and unlocks withdrawal. If you ended it too early, you can reopen it.
