Answering Chats from Your Phone

AI Concierge

The alert that someone is waiting usually reaches you on a phone, and a visitor won't wait while you find a laptop. So you can answer from your phone.

Getting there

Open Studio on your phone and go to More → Chats. Waiting visitors are at the top, with a red count on the menu item so you can see there's something to do without opening it.

Faster still: tap the button in the email or push notification. It knows what you're holding and takes you straight to the conversation — the phone screen on a phone, the full inbox on a laptop.

Answering

Tap a conversation to read it, then type. Sending your first message claims it, exactly as it does in Studio. Tap Hand back at the top when you're finished.

What's not on the phone

Assistant settings, transcripts, and billing stay on the full Studio app. The phone screen is deliberately just the two things that are time-sensitive: take the conversation, and answer it.

Common questions

  • Does answering from my phone make us look available? Yes — having the Chats screen open on a phone counts exactly the same as having it open on a laptop.
  • Will I get notified? Yes, if you're an owner or admin of the workspace, or the assistant's assigned follow-up person. You'll get it in your notification bell, as a push, and by email.
  • What if I'm already looking at the inbox? Then you won't be notified — you're about to see it appear anyway.
