Shorts turns a long, ugly URL into a tidy one you can say out loud, print on a flyer, or put on a screen — and then tells you how many people actually used it.
What you can do
- Shorten any link — a giving form, an event page, a sign-up form, or anything else on the web.
- Choose the code so the link reads like something instead of random characters.
- Generate a QR code for any short link, styled in your colors with your logo in the middle.
- See the clicks — total, today, and the last 30 days.
- Switch a link off without deleting it, or point it somewhere new after it's already printed.
Why it beats a plain link
The practical reason is the one people miss: a short link is editable after the fact. Print a QR code on 500 bulletins, then change where it goes next month — the paper still works. A raw URL on a flyer is fixed forever the moment it's printed.
Where the links live
By default your links are on the shared stdo.us domain. You can connect your own short domain so they carry your name instead — see Using your own short domain.
