Open Shorts and click New Short.
Fill in
- Destination URL — where the link should send people. Paste the full address.
- Title — a label for your own list, so you can tell twenty links apart later. Visitors never see it.
- Custom code — the bit after the slash. Leave it blank for a generated one, or type your own:
christmas,give,vbs2026. Studio checks availability as you type.
Click Create Short and copy the link.
Picking a good code
Short, lowercase, and sayable. If someone has to read it over a microphone or type it from a slide, every extra character costs you. Avoid characters that get confused out loud — the letter O and the digit zero being the classic pair.
Changing a link later
Open any short link to edit it. You can point it at a new destination and every existing copy — printed, texted, or on a QR code — follows the change. That is the whole advantage of using one.
Toggle Active off to retire a link without deleting it. Visitors stop being forwarded, but the code stays reserved so nobody else can claim it and the click history sticks around.
Watching the clicks
The list shows total clicks and today's. Open a link for its last-30-days chart. Filter the list by status or type when it gets long.
