Collecting payments with a form

Forms

Any form can take a payment. Add a Payment field in the builder — the card and bank fields appear right on the form (no redirect, no separate checkout page), exactly like event ticketing.

Choose what to charge

  • Fixed amount — everyone pays the same price (e.g. a $25 ticket).
  • Let them enter an amount — the person chooses (e.g. a gift), with an optional minimum and maximum.
  • Priced options (variants) — list choices at different prices (e.g. Paperback $5, Hardback $10). Turn on quantity and each option gets its own qty stepper — the total is the sum of every row.

How paying works

  • The visitor fills the form, picks an option/amount, enters their card or connects a bank account (ACH), and taps Pay. Everything happens inline.
  • What the form shows is exactly what gets charged — the amount is confirmed by Studio's server, so it never differs by a cent.
  • Payment is required on a payment form — there's no way to submit without paying.
  • Cover the fee (optional) — show a toggle so the payer can add the processing fee, so 100% of the price reaches you.

Receipts & records

  • Every payment is recorded in Transactions with a receipt number, so it's easy to find or refund later.
  • The submitter gets a confirmation email with an itemized receipt; payers can also see their purchases under My Account → Purchases.
  • The entry is marked Paid, and the form's Reports tab shows the total collected.

Before you can collect

Your workspace must have Stripe connected (the same connection used for donations and event tickets). Money goes straight to your own Stripe account. Note: the inline card fields only load over a secure https link — which every live form uses.
