Embedding forms, giving, and membership signup

Embeds & Shortcodes

Forms, donation forms, and membership signup all embed the same way: open the item in Studio, find its share panel, and copy the snippet.

Forms

Open the form and use its share panel. You get a public link and an embed snippet. On WordPress with Studio Connect:

[studio-form id="your-form-id"]

Submissions land in Studio exactly as they would from the hosted page — an embedded form is the same form, just displayed somewhere else.

Donation forms

The share panel on a giving form gives you the link, a button, an embed snippet, and a QR code. Most organizations get more from a button linking to the hosted page than from an embedded frame: the hosted page is already built to convert, works properly on a phone, and won't fight your site's styling on the one page where you least want a layout problem.

Embed it if you specifically want giving to happen without leaving your page. Link to it if you just want a Give button — that's the more common and usually better choice.

Membership signup

[studio-membership id="your-membership-id"]

Or use the iframe from the membership's share panel.

Sponsorships

Sponsorships are the one that works differently. Go to Sponsorships → Embeds and create an embed — it issues its own key, because a sponsoree list can include people who aren't published yet and that needs a real gate rather than an open URL. You can regenerate the key later to retire an old snippet.

Test on a phone before you announce it

Embedded forms are where narrow screens cause trouble — a form in a frame in a column on a phone gets tight fast. Open your page on an actual phone and complete a submission end to end before you send anyone to it. If it feels cramped, link to the hosted page instead; there's no prize for keeping someone on your domain.
